Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information The Golf Tea collects, how we use it, and what we will never do with it. Short version: we collect your email to send you the newsletter and that’s basically it.

Information you give us: When you subscribe to The Golf Tea you provide your email address. That’s the main thing. If you reply to an email or reach out to us directly, we may keep a record of that communication.

Information collected automatically: The Golf Tea is hosted on Substack, which may collect basic usage data such as open rates, click rates, and general location data (country or region level). We use this information to understand what content resonates and improve the newsletter. We do not have access to your device information or browsing history outside of Substack’s standard analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your email address to send you The Golf Tea newsletter. That’s the primary use. We may occasionally use aggregate, non-identifying data (like open rates) to understand our audience and improve our content. We do not use your information for anything weird. We will never sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone who’s going to flood your inbox.

4. Substack as Our Platform

The Golf Tea is published on Substack. Substack has its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service that also apply to your use of the platform. We encourage you to review Substack’s privacy practices at substack.com/privacy. Any data Substack collects as part of operating their platform is governed by their policies, not ours.

5. Email Communications

By subscribing you consent to receiving The Golf Tea via email. Every edition includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it anytime and you will be removed from our list promptly. We will not email you after that unless you resubscribe.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever. The only sharing that occurs is what is inherent to operating through Substack’s platform (see Section 4).

7. Data Retention

We retain subscriber information for as long as you are subscribed to The Golf Tea. If you unsubscribe, your data is handled according to Substack’s data retention policies. If you would like to request deletion of your personal data, email us at hello@1930fore.com and we will do everything within our power to accommodate that request.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Golf Tea is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a minor has subscribed without appropriate consent, please contact us at hello@1930fore.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data — including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@1930fore.com and we’ll take care of you.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. We’ll also do our best to flag any significant changes in the newsletter itself so nothing sneaks up on you.
