Where most people live, summer is officially the best time to be a woman who golfs. For me, I live in Florida and you ain’t gonna find me on the course. Unless my husband and I head to the mountains in the summer, your girl is happy on a simulator or putting in my living room. Call me weak if you want…I’ll see ya’ll when it cools down.

But for a lot of you, the heat will NOT stand in the way of you and your putter. And for that, I’m THRILLED for you because you’ll keep at it with momentum while I regress after finally getting better with my hybrid.

With that, let’s dive into the Summer Kick-Off edition with what’s happening in the world of women’s golf FIRST because it’s kind of a big deal!

☕ THE TEA — What’s happening right now

Sans the sunblock - turn on the TV because The U.S. Women’s Open is starting up AS YOU READ THIS and it’s at Riviera. RIVIERA. I cannot.

Technically it starts on June 4th, but I had to add some dramatic appeal. Don’t sue me.

This week, the best women golfers in the world are competing at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California and this. Is. historic.

While Riviera has hosted a U.S. Open (1948) and U.S. Amateur (2017), this is the first USGA women’s championship ever conducted at the club. About time, honestly. U.S. Women’s Open

And an epic storyline is honestly writing itself this week, year, and season: in her first six starts of 2026, Nelly Korda has three wins and three runner-up finishes. She is quite literally the most dominant player in women’s golf right now IMO and factually one of just two players since 1980 to start an LPGA season with six consecutive top-2 finishes, joining Annika Sorenstam in 2001. The U.S. Women’s Open is the one major she hasn’t won yet. No pressure, Nelly. MORE INFO HERE

Watch it this weekend: NBC (Saturday/Sunday) and USA Network (Thursday/Friday). Stream on Peacock.

Why you should care even if you don’t watch golf on TV: Ladies, this is the Super Bowl of women’s golf. Knowing what happened at the Women’s Open makes you the most interesting person at any golf outing for the next three months. You’re welcome.

This edition of The Golf Tea is proudly brought to you by the Good Girl Golf Collective!

I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Lisa, the founder of Good Girl Golf Collective and to say that she’s a girl’s girl is an understatement. She checks on her people and she supports them through and through.

Her and I have talked about business growth, families, and other ways golf has made a positive impact in our lives and community.

Before you shop her elevated styles, definitely read her story HERE!

Thank you, Lisa for continuing to be outspoken in the world of women’s golf - CHEERS!

⛳ ON THE COURSE — Tip of the issue

I used to think “playing smarter” was something golf instructors said when they didn’t want to tell you that you weren’t so great at golf but alas, turns out it’s actually the whole game.

For this one, we’re handing the mic to Hannah Davies, PGA Golf Professional and one of the most watchable women’s golf instructors on YouTube.

Her fundamentals-first approach is perfect for every level and her tip on trusting your natural shot shape instead of fighting it is genuinely a game-changer for summer rounds.

👉 Watch: “Golf Shots You Must Learn” I PROMISE you’ll bookmark this and go back to it often!

The Golf Tea takeaway: Stop trying to hit the shot you think you should hit. Play the shot your body already knows how to hit. Summer golf is long. Save your energy for the back nine. Or the Clubhouse…just sayin’.

✨ THE FIT and the IT products to snag — Style & gear

Two things worth your attention this summer. No fluff, no 47-item listicles. Just the good stuff.

I’ll be honest, I will support the women owned brands until I take my last breath and even then from beyond, but I know that some of them aren’t in a price range a lot can afford, so I’ll always try to find a mixture of brands that supports our ladies but also supports our wallets. Fair? Cool.

This week, let’s focus on easy going dresses that even if you have to run to a casual dinner after you hit the course, you’ll feel comfortable throwing a sweater or jacket on over it.

TOP CHOICES WOMEN OWNED BRANDS

FORE ALL SPRING DRESSES HERE

FORE THE GIRLS DRESSES HERE

RENWICK DRESSES HERE - please note that I’m 5 foot tall and these are ALL freaking too long on me - they don’t cater to the shorties.

AMAZON FINDS

SLEEVELESS - Good Reviews

SLEEVELESS - Top Rated - I guess? Lol

Now, if you have a dress that you LOVE and you’d like to share it with the class, holla at your girl and reply here and lemme know!

Snack Attack

Now listen, I KNOW that we’re not supposed to bring snacks on the course but for me, I have celiac disease and I’m perimenopausal, the only way I’ll be able to hit my 459 grams of protein a day and keep it gluten free is to bring me a little snacky snack bag. So, I found some totes that look as though they’re easy to toss in that ever-so-small section behind your seat.

Disclaimer: if the starter at the course gets on you because of it, give him my number. I’ll be happy to explain.

My Top Pick is HERE - I absolutely adore the pattern on this one and adding it to my birthday gift list. My bday is in September - make note of that.

STRONG contender here from Birdie Golf

SNAPS ON - I like this one because it can hook on to your golf bag so you’re not carrying 43 things but there’s limited colors.

AMAZON FIND - I really like this one. Versatile for more than just the course or the driving range.

Do you have a golf cooler bag you love? Reply and lemme know!

🌿 WELLNESS & THE 19th HOLE…& The Watering Hole…stay with me…

Real talk: We all know that staying hydrated is super important but the irony of there only being three bathrooms TOPS on the course is unnerving because the more you drink, the more you pee.

I know I don’t have to explain to you about how much water to drink but we do need to address the realities of not having access to bathrooms while we’re out there arguing with our 3-wood.

For me, I use those electrolyte powders to help regulate my fluid retention so I’m hydrating more and peeing slightly less than if I’m just chugging water like a golden retriever at a water bowl.

I mean, yes, you’ll still pee but you’ll be more hydrated so you’ll perform better and the day after won’t feel like such a hard recovery.

Also, this is super important. I don’t care how you feel at the time…but NEVER PASS UP AN OPPORTUNITY TO USE THE BATHROOM. Go even if you don’t feel like you have to. I’m speaking from years of experience here, ladies!

THOUGHT PROVOKING…IF YOU HAVE ENERGY LEFT…LOL

If you could play one round anywhere this summer, where would it be and why?

For me, it would be THE COEUR D’ALENE RESORT in Idaho…it’s a dream course for me and will remain on the bucket list until my little booty gets there!

Well ladies, that’s all for this week!

Do me one favor this week: Forward this to the woman in your life who is one golf invite away from needing this newsletter. She exists. You know who she is. Send it.

Until next time…

Hit ‘em as straight as you can!
